Motion Applied is committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all of its companies' dealings and relationships and to implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls to ensure that modern slavery is not taking place anywhere in its own companies or in its supply chains.
Motion Applied's Structure, Operations, And Business Model
The following are wholly owned subsidiaries of Motion Applied: Motion Applied Incorporated
MA Micro Ltd
Motion Applied are at the cutting edge of innovation in industries including motorsport, automotive, and transportation.
Our focus is to deliver efficient lightweight electric powertrain and vehicle development; motorsport solutions that make series more sustainable and efficient; reliable connectivity solutions for transportation and insightful analytics and monitoring of transport fleets.
Motion Applied works in a wide range of sectors, however its predominant business is in the motorsport sector. Whilst many of Motion Applied's tier 1 suppliers are based in the UK, many are also based all over the world. We understand that the organisation's tier 1 suppliers are intermediary traders and therefore have further contractual relationships with lower-tier suppliers. As such, respecting and complying with modern slavery, human trafficking and general human rights obligations is as much the responsibility of our suppliers as it is Motion Applied's.
Commitment
Motion Applied acknowledges its responsibilities in relation to tackling modern slavery and commits to complying with the provisions in the Act. Motion Applied understands that this requires an ongoing review of both its internal practices in relation to its labour force and, additionally, its supply chains.
Motion Applied does not enter into business with any other organisation, in the United Kingdom or abroad, that knowingly supports or is found to involve itself in slavery, servitude and forced or compulsory labour.
No labour provided to Motion Applied in the pursuance of the provision of its services is obtained by means of slavery or human trafficking. Motion Applied strictly adheres to the minimum standards required in relation to its responsibilities under relevant employment legislation in the United Kingdom and United States, and in many cases exceeds those minimums in relation to its employees.
Risk Assessment
In general, Motion Applied considers its exposure to slavery/human trafficking to be relatively limited and aims to have systems in place that:
- Identify, assess and monitor potential risk areas in Motion Applied's supply chains;
- Mitigate the risk of slavery and human trafficking in the supply chains; and
- Protects whistle-blowers.
The steps Motion Applied takes are aimed at remedying and mitigating identified areas of risk. Motion Applied hopes that the steps it takes will eliminate the risk of modern slavery and human trafficking taking place in its own business and its supply chains.

Motion Applied will ensure that:

- Staff are aware of what they should do if they suspect a case of Slavery or Human Trafficking and that they use the whistleblowing policy to report concerns.
Due Diligence
As part of Motion Applied's procurement process, potential suppliers are required to complete a questionnaire to be considered as part of their bid. The questions include a number of questions aimed at ensuring that the potential supplier is aware, at an early stage of the procurement process, of its obligations to act ethically and that Motion Applied will not tolerate human trafficking, modern slavery or any other unethical practices in its supply chains.
Motion Applied aims to use its own standard terms and conditions which include anti-slavery and human trafficking provisions. If a supplier breaches any of these provisions, Motion Applied has the ability to terminate the contract with that supplier.
Further Steps
Motion Applied will continue the effectiveness of the steps already taken to prevent modern slavery from the business and supply chain.
